The 6th BIFEM opens early with our annual Sound Gallery, a dedicated hi-fidelity surround space showcasing acousmatic works from all around the world. The fourth iteration of this special initiative is curated by long-time BIFEM collaborator, the Argentinian-born, Paris-based composer Fernando Garnero.
The Sound Gallery finds a new home in 2018 at La Trobe Art Institute and, to celebrate this partnership, Sound Gallery will run for a full week, commencing prior to the festival weekend and continuing after it. These extended opening hours will provide greater access for everyone to experience the depth and range of this exceptional programme of electronic music. As always this event is free.
