Hosted by La Trobe University Visual Arts Centre.
Julian Day’s sculptural intervention features two pairs of matching synthesisers pinned vertically between the floor and ceiling by long metal rods. The rods act as frozen fingers that depress the keys and produce drones that fill the space. Showing in the La Trobe Visual Arts Centre's foyer - a necessarily transitory or 'non-space' - BIFEM 2014 presents the first Victorian season for this brilliant work. Installation runs until October 5, 2014.
